How is Amnesty funded?
Amnesty International is funded by contributions from many concerned “ordinary” individuals across Canada and around the world. Making a financial donation to Amnesty International is a vital way to protect people’s human rights.
Contributions to Amnesty International have unique value because Amnesty does not seek or accept money from governments. We also have rigorous policies for accepting large donations from any source.
Our individual financial supporters help guarantee Amnesty’s impartiality and independence. Our supporters are the reason why Amnesty’s research and reports are seen around the world as unbiased and trustworthy.
Each donation to Amnesty directly supports human rights research and campaigns, and strengthens the effectiveness of our appeals.
