The
future
Human Rights House will be home to:
- The National
Urgent Action Network
- The National
Refugee Network
- A resource
and educational library
- Dedicated
meeting space for members and activists to plan and implement
their human rights work
- A team
of over 20 dedicated office volunteers
- Numerous
specialized networks, teams and local groups
- A growing
staff that currently includes: two Urgent Action Network staff,
two Refugee Network staff, a Media External Communications
Officer, a
Regional Coordinator, four National fundraising
staff, and an office
liaison manager. We are growing and expect that
in five years the Centre
will be home to 16 full-time staff members and
over 25 office volunteers.
- A diverse public that relies on our resources the three days per week we are open to the public
Human Rights House will give activists, members, volunteers and staff the space we need to work effectively and efficiently. It will provide much needed meeting facilities for groups, networks, specialized teams and staff. There will also be dedicated space for our educational resources that are widely used by students, lawyers, journalists and the public. Located on a main subway line will make Human Rights House visible, easily accessible and safe. It will also provide long term cost benefits which will help us be more efficient in our human rights work!!
Help give Amnesty International a permanent, visible home for our
human rights work.
