Beyond letter appeals

Tracing and signing hand-print in support of human rights. Beyond letter appeals

Get creative with your appeals. Draw or paint your message in the form of a picture, along with a brief written message.

Ask classmates to "Take a step for human rights" by tracing and signing their shoe print on a large "carpet" appeal made from sheets of paper.

Give your appeals a powerful human face by taking photos of other people signing your letter or petition, then mail these along with the appeal itself.

Create opportunities for others to learn more about human rights.

Invite an Amnesty International speaker to your service club or classroom.

Show the Amnesty video "Cry For Justice" at your reading or discussion group.

Ask a local band or theatre group to do a benefit performance in support of Amnesty.

Use the online Tool Shop to request free appeal postcards - then distribute these after your speaker or video or during your benefit.
