Promote human rights online

The Amnesty candle goes online. Promote human rights online

Our website has lots of attractive, interactive and easy-to-use online features that you can use to involve your friends in protecting human rights. Of course, whenever you use any of our web and e-mail features, your email address is kept strictly confidential to Amnesty International Canada.

Send an e-postcard

Send your friends a colourful e-postcard focused on an important element of Amnesty’s work. People love receiving them, and they’re easy for you to use. >> Send an e-postcard.

Tell a friend

Use our website to send your friend a pre-written email message about a topical human rights concern - or personalize your own message. Simply type in your friend’s e-mail address as well as your name and e-mail, and send. >> Tell a friend.

AMNESTY.CA Updates

Join more than 14,000 Canadians who receive a very brief, attractive email message - about once a month - reminding them about an important new Amnesty report, action or other feature on Amnesty Canada’s website. “AMNESTY.CA Updates” is easy to subscribe to and just as each to un-subscribe. >> Subscribe now.

Download an Amnesty Canada screensaver

Keep human rights out front. Download a free Amnesty International screensaver for your computer. This screensaver uses Amnesty’s popular dove image, and displays the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. >> Download the screensaver.

Place an Amnesty banner on your site

If you have a web page, or if your employer has a place on their page for posting banners for other web sites, download and post one of our Amnesty banners. It’s a easy way to support human rights - and a way to tell the world something important about yourself! >> Check out our banners.

Add a human rights message to your e-mail signature

Do you sign your e-mail messages using a standard signature, with your title, company name or contact information? Why not add a simple line that lets others know that you support human rights? Here are some examples used by Amnesty supporters:

Receive “Amnesty E-News”

If you are a member of Amnesty International, send your e-mail address to members@amnesty.ca and we’ll send you our electronic newsletter, “Amnesty E-News.”

Amnesty E-News keeps you up-to-date with human rights news and opportunities for taking action on-line. You’ll receive Amnesty E-News 5-6 times a year on key dates such as Human Rights Day, December 10th, or in the event of a human rights crisis. To subscribe, e-mail your address to members@amnesty.ca.

On-line Amnesty press releases

For the activist or student of human rights, Amnesty International’s on-line press release service allows you to automatically receive by e-mail all press releases issued by our International Secretariat, approximately 10 per week. Subscribe at: http://web.amnesty.org/ai.nsf/news.
