Amnesty International Annual Report 2007

Annual ReportPowerful governments and armed groups are deliberately creating a climate of fear to erode human rights. The international community has been too often weak-willed in the face of major human rights crises in 2006, whether in forgotten conflicts like Chechnya, Colombia and Sri Lanka or high profiles ones in the Middle East.

Dear ${token1},

It's a pleasure to communicate with you today on the anniversary of Amnesty's founding in 1961. For this edition of Enews we're not only launching our Annual Report, but we've prepared a new slide show that we hope to use throughout the summer as we move into a drive to bring new members to Amnesty's work. We would love your help in sharing this and our "birthday wish list" with any friends you'd like to introduce to Amnesty. We're very grateful to all of the musicians involved in Instant Karma project, whose efforts are bringing exposure to Amnesty's critical work in Darfur. And finally, we're so grateful to you for standing behind Amnesty's work to build a world free of human rights violations.
