17th Annual Amnesty International Film Festival

We are pleased to return to the Pacific Cinematheque to bring to you the 17th annual Amnesty International Film Festival Nov. 2 - Nov. 4.  We are a dedicated committee of volunteers who have been working hard over many months to select and present  a weekend-long series of first class human rights documentaries.  In this series you will see award-winning films that reveal the most important challenges faced by people in communities around the world and here at home in North America.

Like Amnesty International itself, the filmmakers behind these films are dedicated to shining a light on repression and injustice and making sure the world takes notice.

Several screenings will feature guest speakers, including filmmakers who will be joining us by Skype or in person.  We will post updates to the website about the guest speakers.

We gratefully acknowledge that filmmakers often take great personal and financial risks to bring these important stories to public attention.  With this festival we salute their bravery and commitment.
