Write a letter
Do they work? Yes, they are extra-ordinarily effective.

Join the Amnesty Write-a-thon

On December 10th, International Human Rights Day, thousands of Canadians commit time and energy to ‘write for rights’ in schools, homes, church, workplaces and communities across Canada. Hundreds of people compose hundreds of appeal letters on behalf of prisoners of conscience and human rights defenders around the world. Get involved

Postcards are available to advocate for an end to violence against women in Colombia, to promote the rights and well-being of Indigenous women in Canada, to end the human rights abuses against women in Mexico, and to protect Zimbabwe’s women human rights defenders. They are available from the online shop for no cost and can be distributed at all public events.

It takes less than a minute
Add your voice to those who wish to end discrimination and reduce risk to Indigenous women living in Canada by signing the online petition here. Express your concern to the Prime Minister of Canada about the grave human rights abuses currently being experienced by Zimbabweans by adding your digital signature to this online petition.
