Start a group or an action circle
Take your activism to the next level
There are approximately 100 local and regional Amnesty Groups and Action Circles in communities across the Canada. Groups work on campaigns, participate in letter-writing appeals, take positions on Amnesty voting issues, and participate in special projects. Their work is an important part of what makes Amnesty an effective grassroots organization, one that speaks out for the human rights of everyone. If there is no group in your community and you’re interested in starting one, contact Lily Mah-Sen at lmah-sen@amnesty.ca. To look for a group in your community, click here.
Raise money for human rights work
Financial contributions are crucial to Amnesty's success
Interested in organizing a successful concert, a dinner, auction or another event to raise money for human rights work in your community? Do you have goods and services to donate that would defray Amnesty operational costs? For ideas, and information and resources, and to find out what's involved and to get started, click here.
