About Taste for Justice

Taste for Justice is a chance to dine in or dine out in support of Amnesty International's work to stop violence against women. Your participation will help raise funds for Amnesty's human rights research and campaigns.

You can participate by dining in—holding a gathering with friends and family to raise funds for Amnesty International—or by dining out—visiting restaurants in your city who are donating part proceeds to Amnesty International between June 1 and 15.

More Ways to Participate

  • If you host a Taste for Justice gathering, encourage your guests to hold their own events and to visit participating restaurants between June 1 - 15.
  • Spread the word about Taste for Justice! Visit our promotion page for tips and materials.
  • Join our community of Human Rights Heroes —Amnesty supporters who raise $1,000 or more through their events.
  • Set up a Taste for Justice fundraising challenge in your school or workplace.
  • No restaurants in your city? If you live outside these cities, and would like to bring some of your local restaurants on board, contact us at businesstasteforjustice@amnesty.ca.

Event History

Taste for Justice was launched by Amnesty International Canada in June 2005 as a fun and exciting way for supporters to get together with friends and family to raise funds and awareness for human rights. In 2006, the event expanded to include donations from participating restaurants in communities across Canada.

Since 2005, hundreds of individuals, groups and small businesses from coast to coast have raised more than $250,000 for Amnesty’s human rights research and campaigns.

As Taste for Justice continues to grow, we hope you’ll join us!
