Mr. Baghi must receive justice. His continued incarceration and ill treatment clearly are in violation of the teachings of your own holy book, The Quran

Your Excellency Quazaiyeh; In intrest of freedom of the press I demand that Mr.Emadeddin Baghi be relised immediatly. Your Excellency may I remeind you that impresoning Mr.Baghi for his work as journalist is direct violation of International freedom of the Press and violation of Mr. Baghis human rights under Universal Declaration Of Human Rights. In Canada and around the world people are watching closley to Mr. Baghi case, because of his health conditions he can't be imprisonment that is also direct violation of Geneva Convention. I would like to use this opportunity to send message to Mr. Baghi to be strong and hang on in that inhumane prison there are people who watch closley your case and pray for you and your family. I also want to use this opportunity to ask United Nations Security Council and His Excellency General Secretary Mr. Ban Ki-moon to demand on immediate relise of Mr.Emadeddin Baghi to his family. Please remeind Iran of their international obligations to Universal Decleration of Human Rights and Freedom of Press.

The treatment of not only journalists, but of all human beings in Iran has been nothing short of deplorable as of late; I call upon the Iranian government to release Mr. Baghi, and others prisoners of conscience like him. This sort of fascism is absolutely unacceptable in any country.

it can be difficult to pay heed to the any legitimate grievances your country may be facing when citizens such Mr Baghi are arbitrarily imprisoned and denied basic human rights.

Emadeddin Baghi deserves respect for sharing his views not punishment. He should be released from prison immediately. Your government will be viewed favourably for doing so and unfavourably if you do not.

If a gouvernment acts out of true justice and concern for the well being of citizens, then it does not have to resort to suppression of ideas and criticism coming from individuals or from the press. The government itself should defend itself by words and not by force. More creative solutions to problems can come out of an exchange of ideas and respect for individual rights. Please work toward ensuring freedom of the press in Iran by liberating the journalist, Emadeddin Baghi.

I would like to remind you that Iran was one of the original countries that voted in favour of the International Declaration of Human Rights, which states "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

It is of the utmost importance for Iran to respect the Human Rights of its citizens and in the case of Emadeddin Baghi being a prisoner of conscience that he be given the utmost respect and consideration. In fact he should be released immediately. I am a citizen of Canada and I want to respect the government of Iran. But with these actions of disrespect for the human rights of its own citizens I have a difficult time to find that respect for this government.
