Climate change is one of the greatest human rights challenges of our time. Here are four ways you can take action for climate justice this spring:
- Demand human rights-consistent climate action by sending a letter to the Canadian government, your provincial premier, and your local government. See this blog post for more information and addresses.
- Climate Live music festival– Enjoy great music and inspiring speeches by renowned figures while taking action to stop climate change at this international online music festival organized by youth. Join the fun on Saturday, April 24 at 5pm Pacific time, 8pm Eastern time. You can stream the event here: climatelive.org/stream. You can also participate in our Instagram and Twitter #ClimateChallenge on the day of the event. Send a video or picture while you watch the Climate Live music festival along with a phrase that represents your commitment to stop climate change. Tag us on Instagram @amnestycanada and/or Twitter @amnestynow and we will share all stories in our accounts.
- Are you a teacher/educator? If so, we encourage you to download our climate justice education kit which includes action sheets on environmental defenders, energy transition, and climate policy.
- Join our team of climate justice volunteers. Email Elena at edumitru@amnesty.ca.
